THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The tender evaluation committee for the proposed Vizhinjam International Container Transhipment Terminal was in session late into the night here on Wednesday, re-evaluating the bid submitted by a consortium led by the Mumbai-based Zoom Developers.

The re-evaluation comes in response to a directive from the Supreme Court in a case filed by Zoom Developers challenging the award of the project to another consortium led by the Hyderabad-based Lanco Kondapalli Power Limited. The Zoom Developers’ consortium was disqualified during the evaluation of the technical bids while the project was awarded to the other consortium.

Sources said that the tender evaluation committee, headed by the Chief Secretary, was likely to complete the re-evaluation process only on Thursday.
