Zoom consortium did not secure enough points in re-evaluation
Posted on 19-06-2009

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The consortium led by Mumbai-based Zoom Developers failed to make the grade when its technical bid for the Vizhinjam International Container Transhipment Terminal was re-evaluated by a committee headed by the Chief Secretary here on Thursday.

The Zoom consortium secured 60 points after the re-evaluation process, while it should have scored at least 70 points to qualify for the second stage of the tender process involving the consideration of its financial bid. The tender evaluation committee for this mega project, proposed to be set up at Vizhinjam in Thiruvananthapuram district, had been in session here for two days. The committee went through the re-evaluation process in response to a directive from the Supreme Court.
